It is a synchronous step-down regulator with an output current of up to 3.1A.
The SP1081F is a synchronous step-down regulator with an output current of up to 3.1A. It is designed to operate over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 30V. The SP1081F features excellent load and line regulation. The switching frequency is programmable from 60kHz to 1MHz, and the synchronous architecture provides a highly efficient design. Current mode operation provides fast transient response and simplifies loop stability.
The SP1081F requires a minimal number of readily available standard external components. Other features include cable compensation, programmable current limiting, and thermal shutdown.
The SP1081F operates in either CC (constant output current) mode or CV (constant output voltage) mode, with the OCP current value set by an external resistor.
The SP1081F is available in an SOP-8L package.
