TP4057X
The TP4057X is a complete single-cell lithium-ion battery charger with reverse polarity protection and supports charging currents from 3mA to 600mA. It uses constant current/constant voltage linear control. The thin TSOT package and minimal external components make the TP4057X ideal for portable applications. The TP4057X is compatible with USB power and adapter power supplies. The TP4057X uses an internal PMOSFET architecture and reverse charge protection, eliminating the need for external sense resistors and isolation diodes. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit chip temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The full charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, while the charging current is externally set via a resistor. After the battery reaches 4.2V, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the TP4057X automatically terminates charging. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the TP4057X automatically enters a low-current state, with a battery leakage current of less than 2µA. Other features of the TP4057X include a charging current monitor, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge, and two status pins indicating charging completion and input voltage presence.
