TP4058
The TP4058 is a complete single-cell lithium-ion battery charger with reverse polarity protection, featuring a higher 600mA charging current and more stable current consistency. It uses constant current/constant voltage linear control. The SOT23-5 package and fewer external components make the TP4058 an ideal choice for portable applications. The TP4058 is suitable for USB power and adapter power operation. The TP4058 uses an internal PMOSFET architecture and a reverse charge protection circuit, eliminating the need for external detection resistors and isolation diodes. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit chip temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The full voltage is fixed at 4.2V, while the charging current can be externally set via a resistor. Once the battery reaches 4.2V, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the TP4058 automatically terminates charging. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the TP4058 automatically enters a low-current state, with a battery leakage current below 2uA. Other features of the TP4058 include a charging current monitor, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharging, and a status pin indicating charging completion and input voltage connection.
