EG8026
Chip Description The EG8026 chip is a control chip specifically designed for DC/AC inversion and PFC boost in bidirectional inverters (the same circuit can function as an inverter and a battery charger). It integrates two channels of 600V half-bridge high-voltage MOS drivers, with an output current capability of +/-2A. It features four independent cycle-by-cycle PWM shutdown protections, which effectively prevent MOS damage due to excessive peak current in extreme conditions. Additionally, it provides two SD channels, namely SD1 and SD2. SD1 is the cycle-by-cycle shutdown pin for driver 1's HO1 and LO1, while SD2 is the cycle-by-cycle shutdown pin for driver 2's HO2 and LO2. Combined with external comparators and the SD function, it can implement overcurrent or short-circuit protection and other features. The main functions of EG8026 consist of two parts. The first part is DC/AC inverter control, which primarily converts high-voltage DC into a pure sine wave AC output. The second part is PFC boost control, which primarily converts mains AC power into high-voltage DC for battery charging. When EG8026 operates as a DC/AC inverter control, its main internal modules include an SPWM sine wave generator, dead-time control circuit, multi-channel feedback and protection processing circuit, UART serial communication module, and other functions. It also provides comprehensive protection functions, such as DC bus overvoltage and undervoltage protection, AC output undervoltage protection, overload alarm, overload protection indication, overcurrent protection indication, overtemperature protection indication, and short-circuit protection indication. When EG8026 operates as PFC boost control, its main internal modules include a digital differential AC input voltage feedback circuit, DC output voltage feedback, differential current feedback, digital multiplier, digital voltage loop, and current loop operators, among other functions. It provides various protection functions such as AC input undervoltage protection, output overload and overcurrent protection, and output high-voltage overvoltage protection.
