LP3716NCK is a highly integrated self-powered PSR control chip for isolated adapters and chargers, with an extremely simple peripheral design. LP3716NCK fixes the primary peak current, setting the output constant current point through the transformer's primary-to-secondary turns ratio; the output constant voltage point is set by configuring the FB upper and lower bias resistors. To achieve ultimate system cost simplification, a fixed peak current is used to eliminate the current limiting resistor; self-powering is adopted to remove the auxiliary winding VCC supply diode. To achieve better output voltage regulation, LP3716NCK features built-in output cable compensation, allowing the output cable compensation value to be adjusted by setting the value of the external FB upper bias resistor. LP3716NCK integrates various protection functions, including VCC clamp/undervoltage protection, FB pin open resistor protection, output short circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. LP3716NCK adopts SOP8L package.
