LP3716CK is a highly integrated, isolated adapter and charger with a self-powered PSR control chip, featuring an extremely simple peripheral design. The LP3716CK fixes the primary-side peak current, setting the output constant current point via the transformer's primary-to-secondary turns ratio; the output constant voltage point is set by setting the upper and lower bias resistors on the FB pin. To simplify system costs, the LP3716CK incorporates a built-in startup circuit, eliminating the need for external startup resistors and using a fixed peak current to eliminate the current-limiting resistor; a self-powered approach eliminates the auxiliary winding VCC supply diode. For better output voltage regulation, the LP3716CK includes a built-in output cable compensation function, allowing adjustment of the output cable compensation value by setting the value of the external upper bias resistor on the FB pin. The LP3716CK integrates multiple protection functions, including VCC clamping/undervoltage protection, FB pin open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. The LP3716CK uses an SOP8L package.
