The LP3715CP is a highly integrated, isolated adapter and charger with a self-powered PSR control chip, featuring an extremely simple peripheral design. The LP3715CP fixes the primary-side peak current, setting the output constant current point via the transformer's primary-to-secondary turns ratio; the output constant voltage point is set by setting the FB voltage divider resistor. To simplify system costs, the LP3715CP incorporates a built-in startup circuit, eliminating the need for external startup resistors and using a fixed peak current to eliminate current-limiting resistors; a self-powered approach eliminates the auxiliary winding VCC supply diode. For better output voltage regulation, the LP3715CP includes a built-in output cable compensation function, allowing adjustment of the output cable compensation value by setting the value of the FB bias resistor. The LP3715CP uses a unique input line voltage protection and an 850V high-voltage BJT driver, making it particularly suitable for use in countries with unstable power grids such as India. The LP3715CP integrates multiple protection functions, including VCC clamping/undervoltage protection, FB pin open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, and overtemperature protection. The LP3715CP is packaged in an SOP8L package.
