CN5208
Overview: CN5208 is a switch-type PWM step-down DC-DC control integrated circuit with a wide input voltage range, requiring few external components, a continuous output current of up to 4A, and good load modulation and input voltage modulation response. CN5208 has a fixed output voltage of 5V and a switching frequency of 550KHz, allowing the use of small inductors. Ceramic filter capacitors are used at the output. CN5208 operates stably across the entire operating voltage range. To ensure high conversion efficiency, CN5208 uses PFM operating mode under light load conditions. Due to its low operating current and the ability to operate at 100% duty cycle with a low voltage drop, CN5208 is ideal for battery-powered systems. Abnormal condition protection includes inductor current limiting for each cycle, output short-circuit protection, and output overvoltage protection. In shutdown mode, CN5208 enters a low-power shutdown mode, consuming only 7.5uA of current. CN5208 integrates a soft-start circuit to reduce inrush current at power-on and suppress output overshoot voltage. CN5208 is available in a small 8-pin SOP package.
