CN5832
Overview: CN5832 is a boost-type high-brightness white LED driver chip suitable for low-cost, small-size applications. CN5832 uses a PFM operating mode to provide high efficiency over a wide range of input voltages and LED currents. The high switching frequency allows CN5832 to use smaller external components. The low current of 47uA (typical) makes CN5832 ideal for battery-powered applications. The LED current is set by an external current sensing resistor, and the typical feedback voltage at the FB pin is 130mV. LED brightness adjustment is achieved by applying a PWM signal to the DIM pin. During LED adjustment, the LED current is continuous, thus avoiding audio interference. CN5832 has an LED open-circuit protection function to prevent the LED from exceeding its maximum voltage rating under open-circuit conditions. The DIM pin can also be used to shut down CN5832, entering an ultra-low-power shutdown mode. CN5832 is available in a space-saving 6-pin SOT23 package.
