IP6518
The IP6518 is a step-down converter with an integrated synchronous switch, supporting 13 output fast charging protocols, Type-C output, and USB PD protocol. It provides a complete solution for in-vehicle chargers, fast charging adapters, and smart power strips. The IP6518 has a built-in power MOS, an input voltage range of 10.5V to 32V, an output voltage range of 3V to 20V, and can provide a maximum output power of 45W. It can automatically adjust the output voltage and current according to the identified fast charging protocol. Typical output voltage and current are: 3V@3.6A, 5V@3.4A, 7V@3A, 9V@3A, 12V@3A, 15V@2.3A, 20V@2.3A. The step-down conversion efficiency of the IP6518 is as high as 97%. The IP6518 output has CV/CC characteristics. When the output current is less than the set value, it outputs in CV mode with a constant output voltage; when the output current is greater than the set value, it outputs in CC mode, and the output voltage decreases. The IP6518 output voltage has a line compensation function. When the output current increases, the output voltage will increase accordingly to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the connection line impedance. The IP6518 has a soft-start function to prevent the inrush current during startup from affecting the stability of the input power supply. The IP6518 supports Type-C interface output and integrates various fast charging protocols. It can automatically identify the fast charging protocol supported by the output-connected device through CC1/CC2 or DP/DM and then automatically adjust the output voltage and current. The fast charging protocols supported by the IP6518 include: DCP (Apple, Samsung, and BC1.2), Qualcomm QC2.0/QC3.0, MTK PE+1.1/PE+2.0, Huawei fast charging protocol FCP/SCP, Spreadtrum fast charging protocol SFCP, and USB PD output protocol. The IP6518 has multiple protection functions, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and short-circuit protection. The IP6518 uses a 4*4mm QFN24 package.
