IP6510
The IP6510 is a step-down converter with an integrated synchronous switch, supporting 9 output fast charging protocols, Type-C output and USB PD protocol. It provides a complete solution for in-vehicle chargers, fast charging adapters, and smart power strips. The IP6510 has a built-in power MOS, an input voltage range of 4.5V to 32V, an output voltage range of 3V to 12V, and can provide a maximum output power of 18W. It can automatically adjust the output voltage and current according to the identified fast charging protocol. Typical output voltage and current are: 5V@3.1A, 7V@2.4A, 9V@2A, 12V@1.5A. The step-down conversion efficiency of the IP6510 is as high as 97%. The output of the IP6510 has CV/CC characteristics. When the output current is less than the set value, it outputs in CV mode with a constant output voltage; when the output current is greater than the set value, it outputs in CC mode, and the output voltage decreases. The output voltage of the IP6510 has a line compensation function. When the output current increases, the output voltage will increase accordingly to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the connection line impedance. The IP6510 has a soft-start function to prevent the inrush current during startup from affecting the stability of the input power supply. The IP6510 supports Type-C interface output and integrates various fast charging protocols. It can automatically identify the fast charging protocol supported by the device connected to the output end through CC1/CC2 or DP/DM, and then automatically adjust the output voltage and current. The fast charging protocols supported by the IP6510 include: DCP (Apple, Samsung and BC1.2), Qualcomm QC2.0/QC3.0, Huawei fast charging protocol FCP, Samsung fast charging protocol AFC, and USB PD output protocol. The IP6510 has multiple protection functions, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and short-circuit protection. The IP6510 uses an ESOP8 package.
