The CC6409 is a high-performance single-coil brushless DC motor (fan) driver IC. This IC is manufactured using an advanced high-voltage BiCMOS process, optimized for Hall sensors and motor drivers. The chip includes a high-sensitivity Hall sensor, chopper offset cancellation module, Hall temperature compensation unit, voltage regulator, and low RDSON full-bridge driver, etc. The CC6409 integrates a stall protection function; when the fan stalls, it automatically stops supplying power to the coil and enters the self-start state, thereby reducing power consumption during fan jamming and ensuring that the fan will not burn out during a stall, greatly improving fan reliability. The CC6409 integrates reverse connection protection, eliminating the need for an external reverse connection protection diode, saving costs for customers. The CC6409 is available in TO-94 and SOT335 packages, with an operating temperature range of -40~125°C.
