The SP1211EF is a step-down PWM converter with a typical output drive current of 3.5A, eliminating the need for an external transistor. Its design allows operation over a wide input voltage range of 8V～40V. An external shutdown function is controlled by pulling the COMP/EN pin low, putting the device into standby mode. External compensation provides the feedback control with good line and load regulation, offering flexible peripheral design.
One of the features of the SP1211EF is its programmable CV/CC mode control. CV (constant voltage) mode provides a stable output voltage, while CC (constant current) mode provides a current limiting function. The CC current value is set via an external resistor during current detection amplifier input.
The SP1211EF is suitable for DC/DC switching power supplies requiring current limiting. The device uses an ESOP-8L package and requires minimal external components during operation.
