The SP1215EF is a step-down PWM converter with a typical output drive current of 3.5A, requiring no external transistors. The design allows it to operate under a wide input voltage range of 8V～40V. An external shutdown function is controlled by pulling the COMP/EN pin low, putting the device into standby mode. External compensation provides the feedback control with good line voltage regulation and load regulation, offering flexible peripheral design.
One of the features of the SP1215EF is its programmable CV/CC mode control function. CV (constant voltage) mode provides a stable output voltage, while CC (constant current) mode provides a current limiting function. The CC current value is set by an external resistor during the current detection amplifier input.
The SP1215EF is suitable for DC/DC switching power supplies that require a current limiting function. The device uses an ESOP-8L package and requires only a few external components during operation.
