TP4062

The TP4062 is a complete single-cell lithium-ion battery charger with reverse polarity protection, featuring a higher charging current of 500mA and more stable current consistency. It uses constant current/constant voltage linear control. The SOT23-6 package and fewer external components make the TP4062 ideal for portable applications. The TP4062 uses an internal PMOSFET architecture and a reverse charge protection circuit, eliminating the need for external detection resistors and isolation diodes. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit chip temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The full voltage is fixed at 4.2V, while the charging current can be externally set via a resistor. When charging enters the constant voltage phase, the charging current automatically decreases. When the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, the indicator light turns on, but the charging current does not stop; it gradually decreases while maintaining the battery voltage at 4.2V. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the TP4062 automatically enters a low-current state, with a battery leakage current below 2uA. Other features of the TP4062 include a charging current monitor, undervoltage lockout, and two status pins indicating charging completion and input voltage connection.
