TP4060
The TP4060 is a complete single-cell lithium-ion battery charger with reverse polarity protection, featuring a higher 800mA charging current and more stable current consistency. It uses constant current/constant voltage linear control. Its SOP package and minimal external components make the TP4060 ideal for portable applications. The TP4060 is compatible with USB power and adapter power supplies. The TP4060 uses an internal PMOSFET architecture and reverse charge protection, eliminating the need for external sense resistors and isolation diodes. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit chip temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The full charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, while the charging current can be externally set via a resistor. After the battery reaches 4.2V, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the TP4060 automatically terminates charging. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the TP4060 automatically enters a low-current state, with a battery leakage current of less than 2µA. Other features of the TP4060 include a charging current monitor, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge, and two status pins indicating charging completion and input voltage presence.
