TP5000X
The TP5000X is a single-cell lithium battery switch-mode step-down charging management chip. Its ESOP8 package and simple external circuitry make the TP5000X ideal for high-current charging management applications in portable devices. The TP5000X also incorporates input overcurrent, undervoltage, chip overtemperature, short-circuit, battery temperature monitoring, reverse battery protection, and input overvoltage shutdown (OVP) functions. The TP5000X features a wide input voltage range and divides battery charging into three stages: trickle pre-charge, constant current, and constant voltage. The constant current charging current is adjusted via an external resistor, with a maximum charging current of 2A. The TP5000X uses an 800kHz switching operating mode, allowing for smaller external components and maintaining low heat generation during high-current charging. The TP5000X integrates a power PMOSFET and anti-reverse current circuit, eliminating the need for external protection such as anti-reverse Schottky diodes.
