The SFL900B is a high-performance, high-power-factor flyback PWM controller specifically designed for LED lighting applications. The IC uses a unique Super-PFC/PSR™ series that simultaneously supports PSR and SSR applications. The SFL900B is pin-compatible with mainstream PFC controllers such as XX6561/6562 and XX7527. The SFL900B also integrates a proprietary Minimum-Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)™ series, a technology that achieves THD less than 10% with universal line input. The SFL900B incorporates load CC compensation and AC line CC compensation functions to further improve LED output CC accuracy. The IC features a maximum 90kHz frequency clamping function and a soft totem-pole gate driver to improve system conducted and radiated EMI. The IC clears the external EA feedback network before power-on, reducing the startup LED current surge. The IC also features soft-start control during power-on. The SFL900B's proprietary "frequency adjustment" helps improve THD performance while ensuring noise-free audio operation. The SFL900B integrates features and protections such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO), LED open/short circuit protection, VCC overvoltage protection (OVP), load overvoltage protection (Load OVP), soft-start, cycle-by-cycle current limit (OCP), burst mode control @ light load, GD clamp, and VCC clamp. The SFL900B is available in SOP-8 and DIP-8 packages.
