It is a synchronous step-down converter that can drive a load current of 4.8A.
The SP1229HN is a synchronous step-down converter capable of driving a 4.8A load current. The design allows the SP1229HN to operate within a wide input voltage range of 9V to 40V. An external shutdown function is achieved by pulling the COMP/EN pin logic level low, entering standby mode. External compensation provides the feedback control loop with good line regulation and load regulation, and offers flexible peripheral design.
The SP1229HN can operate in either CC (constant current output) or CV (constant voltage output) mode. The overcurrent protection (OCP) current value can be precisely set via an external current sensing resistor.
The SP1229HN is suitable for DC/DC switching power supplies with current limiting requirements. The chip uses a QFN20L-5×5 package and requires only a few external components.
