Chip Description
The EG49 linear Hall integrated circuit consists of a voltage regulator, a Hall sensor, a linear amplifier, and an emitter follower.
The EG49 is a cost-effective linear Hall effect sensor, a type of small, multi-purpose linear Hall effect device that can operate in the magnetic field of a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. The linear current source output voltage is set by the supply voltage and changes linearly with the magnetic field strength. When the magnetic field B=0GS, its static output voltage is half of the supply voltage. When the S pole appears on the marked surface of the Hall sensor, its drive output will be higher than the static output voltage; conversely, when the N pole appears on the marked surface of the Hall sensor, its drive output will be lower than the static output voltage. Increasing the supply voltage can increase the sensitivity.
