LP9901 is a high-performance secondary-side synchronous rectification control chip specifically optimized for high-power switching power supplies above 200W, suitable for AC/DC switching power supplies with forward and flyback topologies. LP9901 supports various operating modes such as fixed frequency CCM, DCM, or variable frequency BCM, QR. LP9901 adopts patented adaptive cycle tracking technology and patented externally programmable dead-time technology, which can accurately determine the turn-on time of the primary MOS tube in the next cycle and turn off the secondary synchronous rectification tube a period in advance (dead time set by the T-pin resistor). This can effectively avoid various problems caused by the common conduction of the primary MOS and secondary synchronous rectification tube, greatly improving the reliability of the synchronous rectification circuit! LP9901 uses patented externally programmable dead-time technology, allowing adjustment of the synchronous rectification tube turn-off dead time in CCM mode by adjusting a resistor value. In addition, LP9901 has built-in patented circuitry that can effectively prevent driver chip malfunctions caused by excitation inductance and parasitic capacitance oscillation, as well as efficiency loss due to turn-off delay caused by pure voltage judgment under CCM operating conditions. LP9901 adopts diversified VCC power supply technology, ensuring that the chip's VCC power supply pin will not undervoltage under various output voltage conditions for AC-DC controllers, even without auxiliary winding power supply. Unlike applications in consumer electronics, LP9901 uses an enhanced SOP8 package with MSL1 rating.
