LP9953 is a high-performance, high-reliability control chip suitable for high-power forward converter applications. Manufactured using a large-linewidth BCD process, it features a large die area, high withstand voltage, and excellent heat dissipation, ensuring stable and reliable operation even under conditions of large voltage fluctuations and severe interference. LP9953 has an overload derating function; by connecting a suitable resistor between the Vcc and CC pins, overload derating and output undervoltage protection can be achieved. LP9953 has an OVP function, which, through a patented circuit design, limits the maximum output voltage under continuous output inductor current conditions, preventing various problems caused by increased output voltage during open-loop operation. LP9953 has a soft-start function, with a built-in 8ms soft-start, effectively preventing start-up overshoot and reducing the start-up stress on power devices. LP9953 has multiple protection functions, including VCC undervoltage protection, output overload protection, output short-circuit protection, and input undervoltage protection. It is ideal for outdoor LED sign power supplies.
