LP9952 is a high-performance, high-reliability control chip suitable for high-power forward converter applications. Manufactured using a large-linewidth BCD process, it features a large die area, high withstand voltage, and excellent heat dissipation, ensuring stable and reliable operation even in environments with large voltage fluctuations and severe interference. LP9952 allows setting the operating frequency via an external resistor, and the operating frequency has excellent temperature stability; the maximum operating frequency is limited to 500KHz, which can prevent the RT pin from being damp and causing the frequency to increase too much, leading to damage of the power devices. In addition, LP9952 has a built-in frequency jitter function, which can effectively reduce the amplitude of EMI interference. LP9952 has a soft-start function, and the soft-start time can be set via an external capacitor, effectively preventing start-up overshoot and reducing the start-up stress on the power devices. LP9952 has multiple protection functions, including VCC undervoltage protection, output overcurrent protection, output short-circuit protection, and input undervoltage protection. LP9952 uses a highly reliable SOP8L package with a high moisture sensitivity level, which can withstand the problems of over-storage and welding during the production process. It is extremely suitable for outdoor display screen power supplies and LED sign power supplies, and can greatly reduce various early failures caused by chip damage during the manufacturing process.
