The LP3713CP is a highly integrated, self-powered PSR control chip for isolated adapters and chargers, featuring an extremely simple peripheral design. The LP3713CP sets a fixed primary peak current, using the transformer primary-secondary turns ratio to set the output constant current point; the output constant voltage point is set by setting the FB voltage divider resistor. To simplify system costs, the LP3713CP incorporates a built-in start-up circuit, eliminating the need for external start-up resistors, and uses a fixed peak current to eliminate the current limiting resistor; a self-powered approach eliminates the auxiliary winding VCC supply diode. To achieve better output voltage regulation, the LP3713CP incorporates an output cable compensation function, and the output cable compensation value can be adjusted by setting the value of the FB bias resistor. The LP3713CP uses a unique input line voltage protection and an 850V high-voltage BJT driver, making it particularly suitable for use in countries with unstable power grids such as India. The LP3713CP integrates multiple protection functions, including VCC clamping/undervoltage protection, FB pin open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, and overtemperature protection. The LP3713CP is packaged in a SOP7L package.
