IP6538
IP6538 is a step-down converter with an integrated synchronous switch, supporting 14 kinds of output fast charging protocols, supporting Type-C output and USB PD2.0/PD3.0 (PPS) protocol dual-port output SOC IC, providing a complete solution for car chargers, fast charging adapters, and smart power strips. IP6538 supports dual USB Type-C, USB Type-C and USB A, or dual USB A output, integrating dual-port automatic plug-and-play detection function. Any single port can support fast charging output when used alone. When both ports are used simultaneously, both ports output 5V, with a total power of 5V/4.8A. IP6538 has built-in power MOS, an input voltage range of 8.2V to 32V, an output voltage range of 3V to 20V, and can provide a maximum output power of 45W. It can automatically adjust the output voltage and current according to the identified fast charging protocol. IP6538 outputs 5V/3A, with a board-level conversion efficiency as high as 96.5%. The output of IP6538 has CV/CC characteristics. When the output current is less than the set value, it outputs CV mode, and the output voltage is constant; when the output current is greater than the set value, it outputs CC mode, and the output voltage decreases. The output voltage of IP6538 has a line compensation function. When the output current increases, the output voltage will be correspondingly increased to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the connection line impedance. IP6538 has a soft-start function to prevent the inrush current during startup from affecting the stability of the input power supply. IP6538 has multiple protection functions, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and short-circuit protection. IP6538 uses a 5*5mm QFN32 package.
