The SY5320 is a highly integrated IC featuring input undervoltage and overvoltage protection, battery overvoltage protection, load current anomaly protection, and overtemperature protection. The SY5320 is used in the front end of charging circuits or low-voltage systems to protect lithium batteries or low-voltage systems from abnormal input faults and can withstand abnormal input voltages up to 28V. When the input voltage exceeds the overvoltage protection threshold, the IC will quickly shut down the internal MOSFET within 1µs, preventing the backend low-voltage system from being affected by abnormally high input voltage; when the battery voltage exceeds the battery protection threshold, the IC will also shut down the MOSFET, cutting off the system power to protect the lithium battery; the IC can limit the input current through a resistor connected between ILIM and ground, preventing excessive input current to the low-voltage system; the SY5320 also features chip overtemperature protection, and when the chip temperature is detected to exceed the overtemperature protection threshold, the MOSFET will also be shut down, stopping power supply.
When the SY5320 is controlled by a processor, the host can obtain the IC's operating status through the WRO status.
The SY5320 is available in a DFN-2x2-8L package and has a rated temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
