The MP5016/MP5017 is a single-chip solution IC specifically designed for power banks. It is a highly integrated power bank management chip incorporating a switching charging management module, an LED power display module, and a synchronous boost discharge management module. The MP5016/MP5017 supports a maximum charging current of 2A and a maximum synchronous boost output current of 2.4A. Additionally, the MP5016/MP5017 integrates discharge path management, power display, and flashlight functions, significantly simplifying the peripheral circuitry and reducing the number of components. It provides a simple, easy-to-use, and low-cost solution for power bank applications using high-capacity lithium batteries (lithium-ion or lithium-polymer). The MP5016/MP5017 comes in an ESOP8 package.
