The CC6418 is a high-performance single-coil brushless DC motor (fan) driver IC. This IC is manufactured using an advanced high-voltage BiCMOS process. The chip includes a high-sensitivity Hall sensor, chopper offset elimination module, Hall temperature compensation unit, voltage regulator, and low RDSON full-bridge driver, etc. The CC6418 integrates a lock-rotor protection function. When the fan is locked, it automatically stops supplying power to the coil and enters the self-start state, thereby reducing power consumption during the fan lock-rotor process, ensuring that the fan will not burn out during lock-rotor, and greatly improving the reliability of the fan. The CC6418 has a soft-start function, which reduces the peak current during fan startup. The CC6418 has a soft-switching function, resulting in low fan operating noise. The CC6418FG has a speed detection function, and the CC6418RD has a lock-rotor alarm function. The CC6418 is available in a SOT335 package and has an operating temperature range of -40~1
