It is a high-performance synchronous rectifier control circuit on the secondary side of a switching power supply.
The SP1259HN is a synchronous step-down converter with a 4.8A output current. It is designed to operate over a wide input voltage range of 9V to 40V. An external shutdown function can be controlled by logic level, pulling down the COMP/EN pin to enter standby mode. External compensation provides good line and load regulation for the feedback control, offering flexible external design.
The SP1259HN operates in either CC (constant output current) mode or CV (constant output voltage) mode, with the OCP current value set by a current sense resistor.
The SP1259HN is suitable for DC/DC switching power supply applications requiring current limiting functionality. These devices come in a QFN20L-5×5 package and require minimal external components for operation.Typical Application Diagram
