TP4065
The TP4065 is a complete single-cell lithium battery charger. It is the world's first single-chip solution with reverse polarity protection for both the battery and the input power supply, supporting charging currents from 3mA to 600mA. Using trickle, constant current, and constant voltage control, the SOT23-5 package and minimal external components make the TP4065 ideal for portable applications. The TP4065 is compatible with USB power and adapter power. Due to its internal PMOSFET architecture and anti-reverse charging circuit, external detection resistors and isolation diodes are not required. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit chip temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The full charge voltage is 4.2V. The charging current can be set externally via a resistor. Once the battery reaches the preset voltage, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the TP4065 automatically terminates charging. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the TP4065 automatically enters a low-current state, with a battery leakage current of less than 1µA. Other features of the TP4065 include power adaptability, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharging, and a pin for indicating charging status.
