SF5566
The SF5566 is a high-performance, high-efficiency, highly integrated current-mode PWM controller, suitable for offline flyback converter applications. In the SF5566, the PWM switching frequency with jitter is fixed at 65KHz and adjusted to a narrower range. When the output power demand decreases, the IC reduces the switching frequency according to the proprietary η-balanceTM series control to improve power conversion efficiency at light loads. When the output falls below a given value, the IC enters burst mode, and no-load power can be reduced to below 75mW. This IC can achieve "zero OCP/OPP recovery gap" using SiFirst's proprietary control algorithm. The SF5566 also integrates proprietary "audio noise-free OCP compensation" to achieve constant power limiting and audio noise-free operation under heavy load when the line input is approximately 90VAC. The SF5566 integrates functions and protection features such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limit (OCP), pin floating protection, overload protection (OLP), gate clamp, VDD clamp, leading-edge blanking (LEB), and soft-start. The SF5566 is available in a SOP8 package.
