SP2610 is a high-performance primary feedback controller used in low-power AC/DC chargers and adapters. The controller uses primary-side sampling technology for precise constant current and constant voltage control, eliminating the need for optocouplers and TL431 typically used in such applications.

In constant current mode, the output current is set by the sampling resistor RCS connected to the CS pin. In constant voltage mode, the chip's various operating modes ensure high overall conversion efficiency.

Additionally, the chip incorporates line voltage drop compensation, resulting in good load regulation. The SP2610 operates in PFM mode under constant current and PWM+PFM mode under constant voltage, reducing frequency at light loads. The SP2610 has very low operating current, enabling application solutions with standby power consumption of less than 30mW.

SP2610 provides comprehensive protection features, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), VDD overvoltage protection (OVP), VDD undervoltage protection (UVLO), feedback loop open protection, output short-circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. Output short-circuit protection and output overvoltage protection have automatic restart recovery functions.

SP2610 is available in a SOT23-6 package.
