KP52140X(A) 40V, 1A Easy-to-use High-Performance Synchronous Step-Down Converter The KP52140X(A) is a simple and easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter capable of driving loads up to 1A. It features a wide input voltage range from 6V to 40V, making it suitable for power regulation of unregulated power supplies in industrial applications. The KP52140X(A) integrates low Rds(on) P-channel high-side MOSFET and N-channel low-side MOSFET, eliminating the need for external bootstrap capacitors and Schottky diodes. Internally implemented soft-start and compensation circuits reduce the number of external components. Fixed 5V or 3.3V output options further reduce the external component count, enabling easy single-layer PCB layout. The KP52140X(A) has a typical switching frequency of 100kHz. The low switching rate design is suitable for applications with EMI requirements. The KP52140X(A) incorporates comprehensive protection features: Input Over-Voltage Protection (VIN OVP), Input Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO), Cycle-by-Cycle Current Limiting (OCL), Output Over-Voltage Protection (VOUT OVP), Output Under-Voltage Protection (VOUT UVP), and Over-Temperature Protection (OTP) to ensure safe and reliable operation under various operating conditions.
