KP2206X High-frequency, high-performance quasi-resonant mode ACDC power switch integrating GaN FET The KP2206X is a high-frequency, high-performance quasi-resonant mode AC/DC converter power switch that integrates a GaN FET. The chip integrates a drive regulation function that can adjust the turn-on speed of the GaN FET to optimize system EMI performance. The KP2206X can operate at frequencies up to 500kHz and operates in quasi-resonant mode across the full range. The chip supports an ultra-wide VDD supply voltage range of 9V-112V. The chip directly detects the AC input voltage and provides fast start-up, X-capacitor discharge, and standby power consumption of less than 30mW. The KP2206X integrates comprehensive protection functions, including: VDD undervoltage protection (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (VDD OVP), input undervoltage protection (BOP), input overvoltage protection (LOVP), output overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), abnormal overcurrent protection (AOCP), overload protection (OLP), output overcurrent protection (SOCP), built-in overtemperature protection (OTP), and CS pin open-circuit protection. The KP2206X uses a small DFN 8x8 mm package and is suitable for high-frequency, high-power density AC/DC converter designs with a wide input/output voltage range.
