The SP6551FL is a secondary synchronous rectifier chip used in isolated flyback power supply systems. It simulates the operation of a secondary Schottky rectifier diode and reduces losses with extremely low on-resistance. The SP6551FL can operate in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and quasi-resonant mode (QR). Advanced blanking technology ensures stable and reliable operation in various operating modes.
The SP6551FL detects the voltage drop across the on-resistance (Rds-on) of the built-in MOSFET to control the switching of the MOSFET. It features simple peripheral applications and a fixed solution for 5V output applications.
