Chip Description
The EG6562 is a critical conduction mode active power factor correction controller suitable for low to medium power switching power supplies.
The EG6562 incorporates a harmonic-optimized multiplier with a special structure that reduces AC input current harmonic distortion. It achieves harmonic optimization over a wide input voltage range and a large load current range, resulting in extremely low harmonic distortion and a power factor close to 1.
The EG6562 has built-in comprehensive protection functions: VCC undervoltage protection (UVLO), system output overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting, system output open-loop protection, and chip output drive peak voltage clamping.
