KP2182X High-efficiency quasi-resonant constant voltage and constant current primary-side control power switch with single-point failure protection The KP2182X is a high-performance quasi-resonant primary-side controlled power switch, especially suitable for charger applications. Under full-load output conditions, the KP2182X operates in quasi-resonant mode across the entire input voltage range, achieving excellent efficiency and temperature rise performance. Using the KP2182X enables noiseless operation while ensuring excellent dynamic performance. Utilizing the integrated line loss compensation function and line voltage constant current compensation function, high-performance constant voltage and constant current output performance can be achieved. The KP2182X integrates multiple protection functions: VDD undervoltage protection (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (VDD OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (FB SLP), overvoltage protection (FB OVP), overtemperature protection, and VDD clamping. The KP2182X also integrates power system single-point failure protection. It can reliably protect under fault conditions such as open circuit of the FB pull-up resistor, open circuit of the FB pull-down resistor, short circuit of the FB pull-down resistor, short circuit of the output diode or SR, short circuit of the transformer winding, open circuit of RCS, and open circuit of the IC GND pin.
