KP216X
KP216X Series A multi-mode, constant-voltage constant-current primary-side control power switch with high-voltage startup The KP216X is a high-performance primary-side controller that provides high-precision constant-voltage and constant-current output performance, especially suitable for low-power offline charger applications. The KP216X has a built-in high-voltage startup function, eliminating the need for a startup resistor, saving components and reducing standby power; at the same time, it is also suitable for PSR architectures without auxiliary windings, further reducing costs. Using the KP216X can achieve noiseless operation while ensuring excellent dynamic performance. Utilizing the integrated line loss compensation function, high-performance constant-voltage output can be achieved. The KP216X integrates multiple protection functions: VDD undervoltage protection (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (VDD OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SLP), and VDD clamping, overvoltage protection (OVP). The KP216X also integrates single-point failure protection for the power supply system. It can achieve protection under fault conditions such as open FB pull-up resistor, open FB pull-down resistor, short-circuited FB pull-down resistor, open output diode or SR, short-circuited output diode or SR, and shorted transformer windings.
