LP2179 is a high-efficiency, high-precision, non-isolated buck switching power supply constant voltage control driver chip. Suitable for non-isolated Buck and Buckboost topologies with a full range of input voltages from 85VAC~265VAC, especially suitable for driving power supplies in small household appliances and white goods. The LP2179 integrates a high-voltage power tube and uses a constant voltage control mode. The system can operate in CCM and DCM modes. It uses a unique PFM control method to improve audio characteristics. It has built-in unique peak current control, eliminating the need for a CS resistor; it has a built-in start-up circuit, eliminating the need for a start-up resistor. It features simple external applications and high reliability. The LP2179 has multiple protection functions, including VCC clamping/undervoltage protection, output short-circuit protection, inductor overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection. The LP2179 uses an SOP8L package.
