LP3666 is a highly simplified constant voltage and constant power self-powered primary feedback control chip. In constant voltage mode, LP3666 sets the constant voltage function by setting the upper and lower bias resistors on the FB pin. In constant power mode, LP3666 uses constant power detection technology to set the output current to increase as the output voltage decreases, and the output current does not change with changes in the input voltage. To simplify system costs, LP3666 integrates a start-up circuit, eliminating the need for external start-up resistors; it has a fixed maximum peak current, eliminating the need for a sampling resistor; and it uses a self-powered method to eliminate the auxiliary winding VCC supply diode. To achieve a better output voltage regulation rate, LP3666 incorporates an output cable compensation function, and the output cable compensation value can be adjusted by setting the value of the external upper bias resistor on the FB pin. LP3666 integrates multiple protection functions, including VCC clamping/undervoltage protection, FB pin open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. LP3666 is packaged in SOP7L.
