LP8728 is a PWM controller suitable for flyback applications with secondary-side control, integrating a 650V high-voltage MOSFET. In PWM operation, it uses peak current mode control and reduces frequency below medium load to improve average efficiency. At light or no load, the system operates in burst mode. LP8728 uses proprietary OCP compensation technology to achieve constant output power regardless of input voltage. Its unique frequency jitter technology improves EMI performance. LP8728 has multiple protection functions, including VCC undervoltage protection, VCC overvoltage protection, output overload protection, output synchronous rectifier short-circuit protection, CS resistor short-circuit protection, and overtemperature protection. LP8728 is packaged in SOP8L.
