LP8776B is an isolated constant voltage PWM controller suitable for secondary-side controlled flyback applications. The LP8776B uses a unique high and low voltage output current compensation method, so that the output overcurrent (IOCP) does not change with the input voltage. The chip uses a multi-mode constant voltage control method: peak current control mode is used; the frequency is increased during overload to increase the overload output current (PeakLoad function), and the frequency is reduced below medium load to improve average efficiency. In light load or no-load conditions, the system operates in burst mode. The chip uses a unique frequency jitter technology to improve EMI performance. The LP8776B has multiple protection functions, including VCC undervoltage protection, VCC overvoltage protection, output overload protection, output short-circuit protection, output synchronous rectification short-circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, CS resistor short-circuit protection, input undervoltage protection, externally programmable OTP protection, and built-in overtemperature protection. The LP8776B is packaged in a SOT23-6L package.
