LP8775 is a constant voltage, constant power, and constant current control chip suitable for secondary-side controlled flyback applications. It is especially suitable for primary-side control of multi-output voltage mobile phone fast charging and PD. LP8775 adopts a unique detection method and algorithm, allowing the system to operate in a constant voltage, constant power, and constant current output state. The system adopts a multi-mode control scheme. In the constant voltage operating state, the chip adopts peak current control mode, and starts to reduce the frequency to improve average efficiency below medium load. In light load or no-load state, the system operates in hiccup mode. In the constant power and constant current operating state, the chip calculates the output voltage and demagnetization point through the DET pin voltage, and sets different output current limit values according to different system output voltages to achieve constant power and low output voltage constant current characteristics. The chip uses patented drive frequency jitter technology and unique frequency jitter technology to improve EMI performance. LP8775 has multiple protection functions, including VCC undervoltage protection, VCC overvoltage protection, output short-circuit protection, output synchronous rectification short-circuit protection, overtemperature protection, input undervoltage protection, output overvoltage protection, optocoupler input short-circuit protection, and CS resistor short-circuit protection. LP8775 uses a SOT23-6L package.
