IP2501
The IP2501 is a highly efficient step-up converter with a fixed operating frequency. It provides a power solution for products powered by single, double, or triple alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH batteries, or devices powered by single lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. To maintain high efficiency over a wide load current range, the converter exits fixed switching mode and reduces switching frequency under low load current conditions. The IP2501 enters a low-power saving mode to maintain high efficiency over a wide load current range. The output voltage can be adjusted over a wide range via an external feedback resistor to meet customer requirements. During shutdown, the converter completely disconnects the load from the battery, eliminating the need for an external MOSFET and its control circuit to disconnect the output and input, and providing reliable output overload protection to ensure that overloads do not damage the battery. With a low quiescent current of less than 1.5μA, it ensures battery capacity during shutdown. The IP2501 is available in a 6-pin thin SOT23-6 package.
