The ETA9882 is a switching lithium-ion battery charger capable of delivering a charge current of up to 2.4A to the battery and providing up to 2.4A of current during boost operation. The ETA9882 includes a power path from IN to OUT, a step-down charger, a 5V step-up converter, and a charge status indicator. The step-down charger guarantees an average efficiency of 93.5% (at 2.4A current).
