The WP7049, a multi-protocol control chip newly launched by Weipu Innovation, effectively combines flexibility, performance, and customization.
Foreword
In recent years, USB technology has become the standard interface for connecting various electronic devices. From computers to smartphones, from external storage devices to digital cameras, USB interfaces have become the choice for data transmission and charging. With the increasing complexity of devices and the continuous evolution of user needs, higher demands are placed on the performance and flexibility of USB interfaces.
With the evolution of USB technology, the market demand for chips supporting multiple interface protocols is constantly increasing. These chips can provide users with greater flexibility and interoperability, and help simplify device design, reduce costs and space. ChargingHead understands that Weipu Innovation has launched a programmable multi-port protocol control chip, WP7049, allowing users to adjust the chip's functions and behavior according to specific application needs, thereby achieving better adaptability.
Weipu Innovation WP7049
The Weipu Innovation WP7049 is a programmable multi-port protocol control chip that supports wireless charging and is designed for various applications with single or multiple USB ports. The chip is equipped with an additional 3 USB Type A ports and a rich set of functional IO ports to meet the needs of other uses. In addition, users can also personalize programming through the 48K byte on-chip Flash memory and 2.75K byte RAM.
The Weipu Innovation WP7049 has passed the UFCS (Unified Fast Charging Standard) certification, supporting charging protocols such as Type-C, DRP, UFP, DFP, BC 1.2, and HVDCP. Users can also customize protocols via the I2C interface, providing flexibility and customization for different applications. The WP7049 has a 12-bit ADC with a sampling rate of up to 128K samples per second and integrates an I2C interface and USART, providing convenient communication methods.
The WP7049 has a wide operating voltage range, suitable for MCUs from 2.2 to 5.5V and UFCs from 3.0 to 5.5V. It has a 1.2V automatic reset function during power-on, while the online CC pin programming function provides developers with great flexibility, allowing them to customize the chip programming according to specific needs.
The WP7049 uses a QFN32 package and can operate normally at -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. It is suitable for smartphones, laptops, car chargers, USB hubs, power banks, power adapters, and other fields.
